Said street used to not get very many trick-or-treaters because it's a dead end, until we moved in and began decorating the front yard and garage for it, along with having me out in fursuit to give out candy.

Reminds me of my old neighbourhood that had this house that does a haunted house every year. Smoke machine, spooky jumps scares, the whole 9 yards. Howloween has always been popular by me but the kids start insanely early, like 2pm.

Walk in, register, and just do stuff. We got panels and musical acts and an amazing dealers den and artist alley by some of the top creators and artists in North America.

Yup. The closest to weird I get is the fact that I have fun by staffing it.
also use it for the mac to make use of its RTX 4090 when needed for 3d rendering in Octane render β¦the PC runs headless and i just use the ipad to start VR games or make sure the render queue is running.. otherwise i never touch windows or the pc..just use the mac

So far I had luck digitizing some Sony U-Matic tapes. But the Ampex U-Matic tapes are having trouble working... I think they have Sticky Shed Syndrome.

We had 2 food tasting panels at Furpoc last year and I know there are hopes to do it again. Armon allowed them--would hope Hilton will do the same.
As for ANE (Seaport Westin main hotel) I submitted a panel on their site--be aware it plainly says _at ANE no food can be served or sold in Panel rooms_...

Indeed hope we can know for sure about food panels. There are concerns about liability and not taking money away from hotel restaurants. AC found a way to keep hungry furs happy on those days when it's tough to find time to go to a restaurant--at DLCC there's a food concession (also one in dealer's room I think) and there was "Westie's Snack Bar" in the Westin--even though hotel already had Bill's Bar. The DLCC concession had chicken-and-rice dishes and soda, not bad and only slightly expensive. I got it just before I co hosted the Zootopia panel but ate it when panel was over.
Meanwhile at FD the sched was so busy I ordered a cheesesteak online from Rex's as Furry Feud was about to end, ran across the street to get it, and ate it during Beastars panel!

Hmm--I decided to take off mid afternoon because I wanted to go West to Mechanicsburg and all I wanted to know was "the numbers" said at closing and I could find out later. I ate at the Victory Brewery nearby then left. FD last year I missed Closing Cer. because my Classic Cartoons panel was doing so well--scheduled for an hr but it was the last panel of day in rm 2 and they said hey keep going if you want--by the time they came for equipment an hr and 40 min was the total time!
As I've said I stayed till end of FP 19 closing cer as I wanted to hear "the numbers" and where the new site would be. Impatient as I had a long drive home...finally they said Furpoc 20 would be at the Crowne Plaza Stamford. I thought, yeah I stayed in Stamford once--Mobil Travel Guide had said the city was 35 mi from Times Sq..further away from me. Nobody knew at the time the next Furpoc would be in Oct of 22 due to Covid. And by then hotel changed name to Armon
A few yrs ago on a fall mid afternoon I was on VT RT 116 in Middlebury and a bear crossed the road in front of me. Just walking normally. I slowed down and let it pass. Fairly suburban neighborhood. Sopranos episode had Carmela and AJ alarmed when a bear enters their backyard. "He was probably attracted by your supply of birdfeed," a wildlife official tells them (Tony had stashed a bunch of money in that food)
